What does a Pre-Abortion Testing include?
- Free pregnancy test
- Free limited ultrasound
- Free STD testing/treatment
- You will need a pregnancy test to verify you are pregnant. Our Center has medical grade urine tests that are over 99% accurate after a missed period. During this pregnancy test appointment, you also have the opportunity to talk about abortion and your options with an advocate.
- You need to make sure you have a viable pregnancy. Our ultrasounds determine if the pregnancy is in the uterus and if there is a heartbeat. During the appointment, our nurses will also discuss abortion methods with you.
- You need to make sure you do not have an STD. STDs can spread further during an abortion and cause further complications. Our nurses provide free STD testing and treatment for the two most common STDs: Chlamydia & Gonorrhea.
Sometimes pregnancy can come at an inconvenient time. For that reason, we are here to offer support and help answer questions you may have regarding the options of abortion, adoption, and parenting. Our nurses will answer your questions on birth control, emergency contraception (EC), your fertility, and how to protect it. You will also learn about the potential health risks and side effects of various birth control and emergency contraception products.
- Our tests are medical grade urine tests that are over 99% accurate after missed period.
- Because our tests are complimentary, there is no need to report your visit to your insurance. Your visit is completely confidential.
Our ultrasounds are provided by trained, experienced, and compassionate registered nurses. They can help answer medical questions you may have.
- A sonogram checks for heartbeat and intrauterine placement answering these questions:
- Is the pregnancy located where it should be (in the uterus and not the tube)?
- Do we see what we would expect to see in an early pregnancy since the miscarriage rate in early pregnancy is about 1 in 4?

STD testing and treatment are important for the health of any sexually active person. Because many STDs go unnoticed, it is recommended to have STD testing at least every six months while sexually active, after every partner or before an abortion procedure.
- We test for Chlamydia & Gonorrhea, the 2 most common STDs.
- Our testing is done with urine tests.
- A medical professional will give you results over the phone.
- If you test positive, treatment will be provided at no cost at a scheduled appointment.
